Our classic boater design in natural, toquilla palm straw. Handwoven by our artisan partners in Ecuador with a stiff, wide-brim and vegetable-tanned leather tie and strap for days spent under the sun. Our wide-brimmed straw hats are made by a group of women artisans in a small mountain town near Cuenca, Ecuador. We partner with a fourth generation family of hat-makers to add the finishing touches. Materials & Process
Minga hats are handcrafted by a generational family of hat makers in Ecuador. This means that no two hats are exactly alike and almost all contain irregularities from size to color. Please allow for slight imperfections as this is what adds to the unique character of each hat.
